Mr Tomas Tickunas is a Consultant Plastic, Orthoplastic and Hand Surgeon practicing at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Honorary Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
His areas of expertise include Adult and Paediatric Hand Surgery (Elective and Trauma), general Plastic Surgery (including correction of deformities, removal of lesions including skin cancer), Paediatric Plastic Surgery and Complex Microvascular Reconstruction (Lower Limb, Major trauma, Hand, Chest reconstruction).
Tomas runs his NHS clinics at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Brighton. He has completed Pan Thames Plastic Surgery Training Rotation in London, as well as training in Wales and Yorkshire. Tomas has a European Diploma of Hand Surgery and completed TIG Advanced Training Post Fellowship in Hand Surgery, under supervision current President of British Society of Surgery of the Hand Mr Boyce and previous President Mr Newington. He has completed Aesthetic Surgery training in Swansea and London. Due to his passion for training the next generation of Plastic Surgeons he has recently taken over as KSS Training Programme Director for Plastic Surgery (Kent, Surrey and Sussex).
Tomas has a passion for perfection in surgery, and in particular he takes time to select the most appropriate procedure for his patients, taking into account patient’s views and needs. He always strives for clear discussions with his patients to develop common strategy in treatment of sometimes quite complex and challenging problems.
