After 2 years of postponements due to the pandemic, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is opening up nominations for its Patient First STAR Awards.
Members of the public are encouraged to nominate a member of staff or team from any of the hospital sites who has gone above and beyond to care for their patients.
There are a range of categories to nominate from including our new ‘Environmental Sustainability Champion’ – for staff who are leading the way on climate change within the Trust. Embodying UHSussex’s Patient First, Planet First green agenda.
Each of this year’s award categories reflects one or more of the qualities behind the Trust’s vision and values, from kindness and compassion to innovation, commitment and exemplary standards of care on the frontline and within our support services.
Chief Executive Dame Marianne Griffiths says: “The past 2 years have been incredibly challenging for our staff and the coming months will continue to challenge us.
“But during this time, I have witnessed such strength and determination and this deserves recognition, which is why we are thrilled to be able to hold out Patient First STAR Awards this year.”
The awards are proudly funded by the Trusts dedicated charities, Love Your Hospital and UHSussex charity.
The deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday 18 February 2022.
