University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex) is holding two recruitment days for jobs across the Facilities & Estates team, including electricians, mechanical chargehands, cleaners and food service assistants.
The drop-in events, at Worthing Hospital and St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, are being hosted by the Facilities & Estates Team, who will be on hand to talk more about their roles, working at the Trust, and answer any questions.
Application forms will be available to fill in on the day or take away and interview slots will also be available throughout the day. It will be helpful to bring along two types of photographic ID and two types of proof of address (e.g. utility bill dated in the last three months).
The sessions will run from 9.30am to 3pm and will be held on:
- Friday 4 November at Worthing Hospital in the Kaizen Suite (entrance next to Outpatients)
- Tuesday 8 November at St Richard’s Hospital, in the Chichester Medical Education Centre (CMEC)
Stephanie Gale, Workforce Development Manager for Facilities & Estates, said: “Our Facilities and Estates teams are the backbone of the Trust providing support to our clinical colleagues, patients, visitors and each other.
“We offer various work patterns: permanent, part-time, flexible shift patterns, weekend and evening work. Some shifts attract pay enhancements and all NHS staff receive a fantastic pension offer and access to hundreds of High-street discounts.
“Our division of 2,000 staff spans many departments including Housekeeping/Domestics, Catering, Estates, Portering, Laundry, Transport, Switchboard, Reception, Accommodation, Security and Car Parking with many interesting and challenging roles available.
“We have witnessed many Facilities & Estates colleagues progress their careers within the Trust, demonstrating that there is great opportunity for career development in our large organisation of almost 20,000 colleagues throughout seven hospitals in Sussex.”
The Trust is keen to hear from people who enjoy helping others and making a difference. Successful applicants will receive full training.
The jobs offer competitive rates of pay, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension and many other benefits and discounts.
