You will be greeted by the receptionist who will ask you to take a seat.

You will be called by a nurse.

She will take you to see a doctor.

The doctor may carry out some investigations – this could include a mammogram, an ultrasound and an examination. The doctor may also do a small needle test of your breast or armpit.

The results sometimes take a few weeks to come back, so you may be booked for another appointment.

If you do have another appointment you will see the doctor and the nurse.
