Our annual STAR Awards celebrate our colleagues, volunteers and teams who have demonstrated our Trust values and excelled within their roles. We encourage staff, patients and members of the public to submit nominations for our hardworking staff and volunteers who improve patient care every day.
In 2025 we were delighted to receive more than 1,200 nominations and this year’s winners will be announced at the celebratory event on Friday 13 June. Read more about this year’s finalists here.

Our judging panel enjoy reading about the moments where staff have gone above and beyond within their role to support our patients and their loved ones.
Once nominations close, all nominations are read by our judging panel who together, agree on the finalists. The next step is surprising each finalist, including all our Star of the Month winners from the past year, with this news in a presentation. Here they receive their congratulatory letter, postcard and invitation to the annual STAR Awards event, where the winners will be announced.
Soon after the event, each nominee will receive a postcard recognising their achievement and we encourage everyone to proudly display this.
