UHSussex has introduced Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) at all of its sites

On-site multi-storey car park (North Car Park): on-site patient and visitor multi-storey car park
Open 24 hours, 7 days a week, height restriction of 2.0m
As you enter the car park your number plate is recorded by the ANPR system. No need for a ticket, when you have completed your visit and before returning to your vehicle attend one of the pay stations located at Levels 5 and 6.
Unable to find a space or need to drop off or pick up?
- There is a 20 minutes grace period to exit fee free.
The multi-storey car park is accessed from Bristol Gate by turning left just after the A&E entrance. And is opposite the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital There are 20 disabled bays within the car park those on Levels 6 and 6a give direct access into the hospital.
Underground car park: Louisa Martindale Building (LMB) car park
Open 6am – 11.30pm, 7 days a week, height restriction of 2.2m
If assistance is needed outside these hours contact security on 67475 from an internal phone (LMB reception)

The LMB underground car park is is accessed from Bristol Gate by taking the first left.

Charges
- 0 to 2 hours £4.20
- 2 to 4 hours £8.40
- 4 to 6 hours £11.00
- 6 to 12 hours £11.00
- 12 to 24 hours £18.20
Over 24 hours £18.20 plus the appropriate tariff above for the excess time parked Charges apply to all users at all times and are inclusive of the 20 minutes grace once parked
*Disable Badge Holders are able to park fee free, please follow the instructions at the exit of the car parks
The pay stations accept cash, notes and debit/credit cards, give change and have an intercom if you need help.
Concessions are available for cancer centre patients, patients who are in hospital for a long period and their relatives and carers. Parking is free for specific patient groups such as those undergoing regular dialysis.
Income from car parking charges is re-invested in the management and maintenance of the Trust’s car parks and in green travel plan initiatives.
A&E
There is only 1 drop-off / pick up bay directly outside of A&E. there is NO parking at A&E at any time.
Other parking
Parking for patients to the Cancer centre is available opposite the Macmillan Horizon Centre on Bristol Gate. Patients using this car park need a permit from the Cancer Centre which can be obtained during their first appointment.
