Parking is limited. Please arrive in plenty of time so you do not miss your appointment.

The main hospital car park is accessed via a barrier. You will receive a ticket at the barrier on entry and should pay at the pay station before returning to your car. Once paid the ticket is used to open the exit barrier.

There is a pay and display car park located at the rear of the site for people visiting the breast screening unit.

Car park pay stations accept cash, notes and debit/credit cards, give change and have an intercom if you need help.

Blue badge holders have access to dedicated spaces opposite the main public car park. Fees do not apply in disabled bays and users do not require a ticket to park – but they must ensure their valid Blue badge is clearly on display.

A council-run pay-and-display car park is also available in Beach House Park, on the opposite side of Lyndhurst Road to the hospital.

Bicycle parking facilities are available to the south/east of the main entrance, outside the Accident & Emergency department to the west of the main entrance and also by the North Wing.

Motorcycle parking is also available outside A&E.  

Electric vehicle charging points are not yet available to the public.

Public Transport

By bus

Worthing Hospital is served by the ‘Pulse’ and number 9 services provided by Stagecoach South, and by Compass Travel services 16 and 106.

The stop for the hospital is in Lyndhurst Road.

By train

Worthing Hospital is about a 15-minute, signposted walk from the town’s main railway station.

Most services to and from Worthing are provided by Southern Railway and South West Trains.

Patient transport service

The patient transport service is available for patients who are unable (for medical reasons) to use public or private transport.

The Spice of Life restaurant

On the first floor of Worthing Hospital’s South Wing and is open from 7.15 am – 7.30 pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30 am – 6.30 pm at weekends.

Costa Coffee

In the main reception at Worthing Hospital and opens from 7am – 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am – 6pm at weekends, selling hot and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches and panini.

Amigo convenience shop

Next to Costa Coffee in the main entrance at Worthing Hospital and also opens from 7am – 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am – 6pm at weekends.

League of Friends shop and tea bar

In the North Wing entrance of the hospital.
Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm and Saturday 9am – 4pm

Toilets and baby changing facilities

Public toilets are available throughout the hospital. Please see our hospital map for exact locations.

Facilities for changing babies can be found in main reception and the paediatrics area of A&E.

Breast feeding is welcome anywhere in the Trust. If a visitor needs to breast feed their baby in private, staff can be approached to find an available room.

Cash machine

Located in the West Wing corridor.

The Worthing Hospital chapel

Situated on the ground floor of the North Wing and is open 24 hours a day for quiet reflection.
