Southlands Hospital has nearly 200 car parking spaces for patients and staff, new disabled bays, motorcycle parking and a drop-off and pick-up point outside the entrance of our state-of-the-art ophthalmology unit.
The car park is pay and display for all visitors. Disabled parking is free within disabled marked bays with a valid blue badge on display.

The payment machines accept coins, notes and debit/ credit cards.
Please follow the signs for the patient and public car park as other areas on the site are reserved for staff permit holders. Street parking in the area is very limited.
Electric vehicle charging points are not yet available.
Southlands Hospital is served by two bus stops – one on the Upper Shoreham Road and the other outside the entrance in Hammy Lane.
The number 2 and 2A services run by Brighton and Hove Buses call at both stops, while the 59 runs along the Upper Shoreham Road only.
The 700 service run by Stagecoach South along the coast road stops in Shoreham High Street. You can then catch the Brighton and Hove Buses number 2 or 2A service direct to the hospital from the same stop.
Southlands Hospital is a 20-minute walk from Shoreham-by-Sea station, or a five-minute journey on the number 2 bus, which stops outside the station.
Patient transport service
The patient transport service is available for patients who are unable (for medical reasons) to use public or private transport.
Tea bar and shop
Run by volunteers from the League of Friends of Southlands Hospital located at the Hammy Lane entrance, opposite outpatients reception.
Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm and Saturday 9am – 4pm
