6. How many administration staff (WTE) do you have to support undergraduate medical education?
7. How many ‘Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTF)’ or similar do you employ to support undergraduate medical education?
8. Please list your current posts for CTFs including their commitment to the delivery of clinical care and base speciality (if applicable).
9. Do you offer CTFs the opportunity for further study, such as a PGCert in Medical Education, and is this paid for by the Trust?

3. In the financial year April 2023 to March 2024, the Trust received £11,379,141.71 in funding through the NHSE Education Contract.
4. Senior Undergraduate Tutor: 2 Supported Professional Activities (SPAs) over 4 acute sites
   
   Undergraduate Clinical Lead at St. Richard’s Hospital, Chichester(SRH)/Worthing Hospital, Worthing(WH): 1 SPA
   
   Undergraduate Clinical Lead at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton (RSCH)/Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath (PRH): 1 SPA
   
5. Senior Undergraduate Clinical Tutor
6. 2 x Undergraduate administrators – the equivalent of 2 x 1 whole time equivalent (WTE) for SRH/WH/Worthing and Southlands Hospital, Shoreham-by-Sea (WASH). Undergraduate administration for RSCH and Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) currently sits within the BSMS administration team, and not with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust

   Undergraduate Management sits within the portfolio of the Head of Medical Education and Quality.
7. The Trust currently has more than 20 UG Clinical Fellow posts – variable percentages between clinical and education.
8. For information relevant to this question, please refer to the table below.  For context, all Teaching Fellows work a 75/25 clinical split, with 75% clinical work in their base speciality and 25% teaching.  The Trust also offers a 75% LTFT (less than full-time) contract, which is also split 75/25.

9. Clinical divisions within the Trust decide individually if a PG Certificate is to be offered and, in those cases, the Trust funds the cost.

10. UG Medical Education is very well supported and valued.  The Trust has clear governance processes and a clear administrative and management support structure.  Feedback from medical students is good/excellent and UG local faculty groups run 3 times per annum.
