It is a privilege to serve as a Staff Governor and represent the dedicated colleagues who make such a positive difference across University Hospitals Sussex every day.
Since joining the Trust in 2020, I have worked in a variety of roles across Estates and Facilities, providing me with a broad understanding of both operational and strategic aspects of the organisation. My career within the Trust has allowed me to work closely with colleagues across acute hospitals and community sites, building strong relationships and gaining valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities experienced by staff in different services.
In my current role as Building Manager for our satellite sites, I work in partnership with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure our buildings are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. This has reinforced my belief that the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration, open communication and listening to the people who deliver our services every day.
As your Staff Governor, I am committed to being approachable, visible and proactive. I will continue to listen to your views, represent your interests and work constructively with the Trust’s leadership to help shape positive change. I believe every member of staff deserves to feel heard, valued and supported, regardless of their role or where they work within the Trust.
I am proud to represent the staff of St Richard’s Hospital and remain committed to helping make University Hospitals Sussex a place where colleagues can thrive and continue to provide outstanding care for our patients.
