Heather Brown 

I am a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, working in Brighton and Haywards Heath, having trained in South Africa and the UK. My main areas of clinical work and research are evidence-based obstetrics and caring for women with complex pregnancies. I bring to this new role my experience of clinical leadership, teaching (medical students, midwives, trainee obstetricians), local and national research projects and maternity service reviews (Ockenden, East Kent). I am excited about the research lead role as I want to enhance our national research profile with more involvement in NIHR trials and projects and to encourage more original research within the Division.
