Patients and public involvement
Patients and the public help shape our research at every stage.
We work with a Patient Research Champions group to:
- design studies
- improve patient information
- make research accessible.
Why get involved
Taking part in research can:
- improve future care
- get access to new treatments
- help others with similar conditions.
You can take part whether you are a patient, carer or member of the public.
Community involvement
We work with:
- primary care – for example, GP practices
- public health teams
- charities
- local communities.
We also hold public events to discuss research and hear people’s views.
