This Dietitians Week, we’re celebrating the vital role that dietitians play in delivering evidence-based care across our Trust and beyond. Dietitians support patients and colleagues with expert nutritional advice, helping to improve health outcomes and support recovery across a wide range of clinical areas.
Manual of Dietetic Practice

We are proud to recognise the contribution of our own UHSussex staff, who have recently co-authored chapters in the Manual of Dietetic Practice, 7th Edition (Wiley) which is a highly respected text in the field.
In developing this work, colleagues made extensive use of the libraries’ search tools and resources to identify the most up-to-date, high-quality evidence. This is a fantastic example of how our knowledge and library services support clinical staff in producing robust, evidence-based content that reaches a national and international audience.
We are pleased to confirm that the Manual of Dietetic Practice, 7th Edition will soon be available in our library collections, providing an invaluable resource for:
- Dietitians
- Medical and nursing staff
- Allied health professionals
- Students and trainees
This new edition will support learning, clinical practice, and professional development across disciplines.
Supporting evidence-based practice
Dietitians Week is a great opportunity to highlight not only the work of dietitians themselves, but also the importance of access to high-quality evidence in supporting patient care. Our team is always here to help you find, evaluate, and use the best available evidence in your practice.
