University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex) is an NHS foundation trust which provides clinical services to people in Brighton and Hove, parts of East Sussex and West Sussex. We run seven hospitals across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex.
As one of the UK’s largest acute trusts, we’re proud to be part of the excellence, ambition and values that define the NHS.
To do this, we put the interests of our patients first and foremost using our values:
- We are compassionate – we communicate and act with kindness
- We are inclusive – our teams work collaboratively
- We are respectful – we behave professionally
These values were selected by our staff, patients and public when we defined the sort of organisation we want University Hospitals Sussex to be.
We treat our patients and staff with the same compassion and empathy we expect for ourselves. We’re here for them when they need us, and we go above and beyond to meet their needs.
Our Trust vision of Excellent Care Everywhere is set out in our five-year strategy. You can find out more about our strategy in our dedicated strategy section of this website.
