Biography
Cornelia Poitelea is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospital Sussex Foundation Trust. She has a solid background in ophthalmology after following the London, Kent, Sussex and Surry Deanery Programme for Higher Specialty Training in Ophthalmology. During her training she gained comprehensive knowledge and skills in the fields of general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
She enhanced her training in oculoplastics, orbital and lacrimal pathology by completing further fellowships programmes, one at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, and the second one at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, learning from experienced and world famous ophthalmologists.
Cornelia joined UHSussex Foundation Trust in 2014 and is currently leading the oculoplastics service for the Trust. She is also a keen and enthusiastic trainer of junior doctors and act as the College Tutor for the ophthalmology trainees of the trust, overseeing their educational and training needs.
