Biography
In January 2022, Dr Kam Zaki was appointed consultant in medical oncology treating thoracic and kidney cancers at Sussex Cancer Centre. He was previously a locum consultant at Guy’s Cancer Centre from February 2019.
He qualified from the University of Dundee in 2003. Following several medical training placements in various London hospitals, he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007.
Kam then pursued higher medical training in medical oncology, initially at Churchill Hospital, Oxford and then in Cambridge as part of Eastern Deanery training programme. During that time, he obtained an MSc in Oncology and a Royal College of Physicians Medical Oncology certificate before gaining his certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) in 2013.
Kam was trained in gene therapy and is currently finishing his PhD in gene therapy at University College London. Kam was a clinical fellow at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility at University College Hospital between 2017 to 2019 where he gained experience In early phase clinical trials.
