Biography
Dr Suna Ors Kokurcan is an MD trained in diagnostic radiology and finished her residency in January 2015. Suna has 7 years’ consultancy experience in radiology with special interest in breast/body imaging, neuroimaging. She is currently working as a consultant breast radiologist at Western Sussex Hospitals, for the last 2 years.
Suna is passionate about women’s health and preventative care, with knowledge in all aspects of women’s imaging including mammography, ultrasound, MRI and tomography, in addition, nonvascular interventional procedures including US-guided breast biopsies and vacuum-assisted excision procedures. She is granted by ESOR and was fortunate enough to do a clinical fellowship at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. This involved her conducting a 6-month research project in neuro-radiology in the same centre which has been published in a prestigious journal. Additionally, she had a chance to be an observer at Mount-Sinai Hospital Neuroradiology Department in NYC. Suna has also published several articles and served as a peer reviewer for journals. She is a committed practitioner and together with her clinical experience, she hopes to continue to advance our field in order to benefit science and patients.
