Qualifications: MBBS FRCA PGC|ME AFHEA

Vanessa is a Consultant Anaesthetist with a special interest in Vascular Anaesthesia. Her main clinical commitment is to vascular surgery and cardiology electrophysiology procedures. She has pre-operative assessment clinics for people requiring high risk vascular surgery and is part of the MDT who manage the care of pregnant women with cardiac disease.

Vanessa is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at BSMS and leads the Introduction to Clinical and Educational Supervision Course. She has developed expertise in peri-operative focused echocardiography and her research interests lie in point of care coagulation and platelet function testing. She is the chair of the Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
