Biography

Mr Borumandi has been a consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at University Hospital Sussex Foundation Trust since 2017.

He completed his training in dentistry in Freiburg, Germany, and was inspired by maxillofacial procedures seen during that time to pursue the second degree in medicine required for OMFS certification.

Mr Borumandi completed his medical degree from the University of Bern, Switzerland, followed by core surgical training in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and trauma and intensive care.

He is a Fellow of European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and trained in OMFS in multiple European centres, including Northwick Park Hospital, University Hospital Salzburg, Oxford University Hospitals, Royal Surrey County Hospital, and Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. Mr Borumandi completed a clinical fellowship in Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery in St Richard’s Hospital.
