Qualifications: BSc MBBCh FRCOphth

Huw is a consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon practising across the Sussex Eye Hospital, Lewes Victoria Hospital, and Eastbourne.

Fellowship-trained in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery, Huw sees tertiary referrals for complex orbital work, drawing patients from across the South East and beyond who require specialist management of artificial eyes and autologous fat grafting.

He has an interest in endoscopic orbital and lacrimal surgery, running joint operating lists with rhinology colleagues, and sits on the Skull Base MDT at Brighton, managing patients with spheno-orbital meningiomas alongside neurosurgical colleagues.

He also maintains an interest in ophthalmic emergency work, running a weekly emergency clinic at Brighton.

Alongside his clinical practice, Huw is college tutor for specialty trainees in Brighton, and an educational supervisor to numerous trainees. He is an invited speaker at oculoplastic conferences and courses regionally, nationally, and internationally.
