Biography

Joideep Phadnis is a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon and specialist Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon.

In particular, Mr Phadnis has a special interest in elbow problems and he has a tertiary referral practice related to this. He treats sports injuries, arthritis, and trauma of the shoulder and elbow and performs keyhole surgery, complex reconstruction and joint replacement.

Mr Phadnis is also heavily involved in teaching and research. He is an Honorary Reader at Brighton & Sussex Medical School and a student mentor. He teaches and runs courses related to shoulder and elbow surgery in the UK and internationally. He has published over around 100 peer reviewed articles, including journal publications, book chapters and multi media surgical videos.

He is the lead for Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the trust and is the director of the Shoulder and Elbow fellowship programme.
