Qualifications: MBBS, BSc (1st Class Hons), FRCS (Tr&Orth), FEBHS (European Hand Diploma)
Simon is a fellowship trained Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Hand, Wrist and Major Trauma. He was brought up in South London and studied medicine in London at Imperial College School of Medicine, qualifying in 2011. He completed his basic and higher surgical training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Following this, he completed Hand, Upper Limb and Trauma Fellowships in Adelaide, Australia and at Kings College Hospital, London. He completed his European Hand Diploma in 2023.
His primary clinical practice encompasses all aspects of hand and wrist surgery as well as the management of Major Trauma. He is actively involved in research and has published and presented research on hand, wrist, elbow as well as some lower limb conditions. He particularly enjoys teaching and training and does so on both regional and national courses.
Simon is married to a GP and has 2 children. He enjoys keeping fit by cycling over the Sussex downs and spending time outdoors with his family.
