William Cato-Addison qualified from The University of Southampton medical school in 2003 with an honors degree in medicine. He holds a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science from The University of Bristol and an MSc in parallel computation from The University of Edinburgh. He undertook his basic surgical rotation on The St Bartholomew’s Hospital surgical rotation in London following which he received his national training in neurosurgery in the North East Deanery and trained in Newcastle and Middlesbrough. After completion of his neurosurgery training he returned to London as the Depuy Fellow on the joint Neurosurgery at Orthopaedic complex spine fellowship at The National Hospital for Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Evelina Children’s Hospital and Guy’s Hospital.
He has a keen interest in medical education and is a Brighton and Sussex Medical School tutor for fourth year medical students during their neuroscience rotation. His clinical interest is in complex spine surgery and he is the Datix lead for spine surgery.
