In this session, Professors Lisa Holmes and Chris Pepper will be sharing their experience of developing grant applications.
Lisa will share her experience of the development of mixed-methods, inter-disciplinary proposals, drawing on her learning from both successful and unsuccessful applications. Chris will focus on lessons learnt from lab-based and pre-clinical grant applications submitted to MRC, Bloodwise, Wellcome trust and Blood Cancer UK.
Lisa Holmes is Professor of Applied Social Science based in the School of Education Social Work. She is a mixed-methods researcher and has carried out a range of research and evaluation projects over the past twenty-four years, focused predominantly in the field of child welfare.
