Request:
- How much was spent on meetings of the executive directors, per month, in the period from January 2020 – September 2022?
- Can you give a rough breakdown of what this money was spent on (e.g. was it made up of refreshments, on meeting software, on room hire, etc.)?
- How many meetings of the executive directors were held each month in the period from April 2020 – September 2022?
- How many members of staff make up the executive director team at your trust?
Information disclosed:
1 and 2. Costs associated with meetings of the Trust’s executive directors are minimal and there isn’t an easy way for us to calculate this expenditure as this spend is not coded in such a way that we can attribute spend to these meetings specifically. The Trust utilises its own onsite meeting rooms therefore there are no room hire costs. The meetings involve technology which allows remote calling and meeting paper management software (e.g. a designed package and MS word applications), but these packages are used across the organisation and are not used exclusively by the executives. Tea and coffee is provided for these meetings, but these costs are covered primarily from contributions made by the executives themselves. There are occasions where tea, coffee and milk is purchased locally to support these meetings, but these items are also used for other meetings as required.
3. The executive directors have two formal meetings each month; a monthly Trust Executive Committee and a Monthly Strategy Deployment meeting with the Senior Leaders of the organisation. There are also a number of huddles and impromptu meetings that occur, but we have interpreted your request to be about formal, routine meetings of the executive directors. In any case the costs associated with these other meetings are also minimal for the reasons outlined above.
4. The Trust has eight executive directors; one post is vacant at this time
