With the onset of summer holidays, it’s a great time to take opportunities to get involved in physical activity and so improve our health.
Many people don’t realise that physical activity has significant benefits for both physical and mental health, and can help to prevent and manage over 20 chronic conditions and diseases, including some cancers, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and depression.
Our extensive collection of leaflets provides information on the benefits of getting involved in physical activities, and also gives details of a number of local events run by Brighton & Hove City Council’s Healthy Lifestyles Team.
