We’re excited to share the latest news and updates on Extended Reality (XR) teaching in the Trust (extended reality is a catch-all term for virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality).
From the inspiring XR Roadshow event to the appointment of our very own Immersive Learning Technology Officer, there’s a lot to look forward to as we embrace the cutting-edge potential of XR in healthcare training and education.
XR Roadshow: A Glimpse into the Future of Training and Education
In February 2023, the XR Roadshow was held at the Audrey Emerton Building, where it was organised in collaboration with Health Education England (HEE). This event showcased a wide range of XR technologies that are revolutionising the way we approach training and education.
Participants had the opportunity to experience the power of Microsoft’s Hololens, immersive Virtual Reality (VR) scenarios, and attend insightful talks on the practical applications of XR in healthcare settings.
