The TEL and Practice Development teams are pleased to introduce changes that have been made to the non-medical Study Funding system. The changes were designed based on feedback from staff and departments.
Added Approver Selection
The previous system was based on the assumption that line managers approved study funding for their staff. However, we learned that not all departments operate in this manner. Some may have practice development educators or administrators who approve all study funding requests.
In addition, there are cases where line manager data is either missing or inaccurate.
To accommodate, the new system now has an approver selection option. This appears on the first page after initiating an application.
Staff can see who their registered line manager is on iris. If this is not the person who approves their study funding request, or is not their correct manager, they can use the Select User button to find their approver.
