Junior doctors and consultants in England are taking joint strike action for the first time in the coming weeks, with NHS leaders warning the impact will be very challenging for local services.
- Consultants will be taking industrial action on 19 and 20 September
- Junior doctors will also be on strike on 20, 21 and 22 September
- Both consultants and junior doctors will strike together on 2, 3 and 4 October
The NHS in Sussex is grateful to people for their support during the several periods of industrial action seen so far this year, we really need the public’s support again to be able to provide high quality NHS care to our local communities, patients, families, and carers.
That’s why, people are being urged to continue to support the NHS during the consultant doctors’ strike by using the right health service to meet their needs, and help to ensure emergency care is available for those in most need.
