Meet Sally, our new Library Manager at Worthing!

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome to the trust. I’m the new Library Manager at Worthing Hospital.

I’ve come from almost 20 years running a busy High School Library and I’m looking forward to opportunities with delivering information skills to our users, as well as the very big challenge of learning all the resources that I now have at my fingertips!

I came to this role looking to return to my roots of working in the Public Library and dealing with challenging research enquiries, but my love for reading Young Adult literature started when working in the teen section of the Library and took me on to the school setting, where I co-founded and launched the Amazing Book Awards that works with schools across Sussex, bringing over 400 student readers together each summer with the Authors they have chosen as finalists. A real opportunity to bring a love of literature to teen readers. If any of you need advice on teen books, just send me an email!

When I’m not working, I can often be found on the beach or the downs with my two rescue dogs Newt and Leia, or tucked up in the warm at home watching some true crime, playing games or reading while the football’s on!
