Meet Steve Sommer-Wood, our new Patient Education Librarian.
We’re delighted to welcome Steve to our team. You can learn more about Steve and his role below.
“Hi, I’m Steve, the new Patient Education Assistant Librarian in the Patient Education team. I’m based at the RSCH (Audrey Emerton building) but will also be working at other sites in the Trust including Worthing, Chichester and Haywards Heath. I’m very much looking forward to working in the health library sector and of course with all my lovely and supportive colleagues, many who I’ve already met.
“Prior to this position, I’ve worked in a range of library settings including academic (University of Sussex), college (Chichester College), public library (East Sussex County Council managing two branches) and a business school library in Berlin (the ESCP). I’m therefore very excited to be working in a new information services avenue in a specialist position. I’ve always been a big supporter of the NHS as well!
“In my spare time, I enjoy a range of pursuits including reading (mostly non-fiction including health and diet), swimming and yoga, walking my dog and a good weekend movie or TV series.
“I’m looking forward to working with you all and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything or have a question. See you all around!”
