From February 2026, a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking system will be introduced at the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) North Car Park.
This update is part of the Trust’s wider programme to modernise parking systems across hospital sites.
What does this mean for you?
- You will only pay for the time you are parked on site
- No ticket will be required when entering the car park
- Your vehicle’s number plate will be automatically recorded on entry and exit
How does ANPR parking work?
ANPR cameras record vehicle registration numbers as cars enter and leave the car park. These cameras are linked to the on‑site payment machines.
- Pay when you are ready to leave
- Payment options include contactless, card, or cash
Disabled Badge holders
Disabled Badge holders will continue to exit the car park free of charge.
To do this:
- Scan the QR code or barcode on the reverse of your Disabled Badge
- Follow the instructions shown at the exit barrier
