New Self-issue Kiosks

The libraries have shiny new self-issue kiosks, supplied by D-Tech International and purchased with the help of My University Hospitals Sussex.

The new kiosks will enable you to borrow and return books at any time. At the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Princess Royal Hospital and Mill View Hospital the new kiosks replace machines that were over 10 years old. At St Richards and Worthing Hospitals this is a new service for library users and has required all books to have an RFID tag inserted so that they can be detected by the kiosks.

The kiosks are very simple to use, with a clear interface and accessibility options.

New Feature!

One new feature is that you can take a photograph of your library card using your phone and scan the barcode from the image – no more scrabbling around to find your card! You can also type your library membership number by calling up the on-screen keyboard.
