Sussex Police contacted us in October 2023 when they began looking into possible cases of medical negligence at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, between 2015 and 2021.
The police are continuing to examine historic cases in general surgery and neurosurgery primarily. We remain fully supportive of their work, and continue to help in any way we can.
We recognise that patients may have questions about hospital care they are receiving or treatment they are due to have at our hospitals.
If you do, please talk to the clinical team treating you, or to your GP about your referral.
Alternatively, you can contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).
All our services are closely monitored and regulated, and we are committed to being open and listening at all times.
Please note: We are not able to discuss Sussex Police’s specific enquiries, and are not directly involved in the work they are engaged in.
