As part of the preparations for the MRI ventilation replacement works at Worthing Hospital, the contractors will begin erecting scaffolding on Wednesday 11 March.
The scaffolding will be positioned externally between the Main Entrance block and the Outpatients Building.
This strategy will be in place for circa 6 weeks for scaffold access and erection in the courtyard and MRI areas
To safely facilitate these works, a section of the pavement near the Main Entrance will be cordoned off with barriers.
Off‑loading from the scaffold delivery truck will take place from the grassed area located between the Outpatients Department and the Greenacres Building. This arrangement will allow the works to proceed safely while minimising disruption to cars and pedestrians.
A Traffic Marshal will be stationed in the area throughout the duration of the works, and directional signage will be installed to guide pedestrians travelling between the Main Entrance, Greenacres Building, car parking areas, and Homefield Road.
The layout drawing illustrates the work area. The expected duration of the works is six weeks.

Great efforts have been taken to minimise the disruption and noise associated with the works, and we apologise for any for any inconvenience caused.
