Sexual Health Awareness Month is an annual campaign observed each September to promote sexual and reproductive health including the prevention of STIs, access to reproductive care and promoting open conversations about sexuality to break down stigma.
The initiative, established by the World Association for Sexual Health in 2010, encourages people to seek necessary information and care.
We may be aware that taking care of our health includes eating properly, getting exercise, and looking after our general wellbeing, but sexual health is not always considered. This annual campaign is used to spread awareness regarding sexual health by providing information and help from a number of trusted organisations.
We have a variety of leaflets in our health promotion collection on this topic, for both adults and young people. Copies are available on request.

Remember that in addition to leaflets we have a collection of models for you to borrow and use for teaching and promotion to staff and service users.
