Our Assistant Librarian Ellie Brown is heading off on maternity leave this month. Ellie joined us earlier this year and has already done a lot of work to support KnowledgeShare and the wider library team. We’ll miss her very much, but we’re happy to report that her role will be covered by William Rees until January 2025.

Hi, I’m William – I am providing maternity cover for the Assistant Librarian (Knowledge Management) position, as part of the KnowledgeShare team.
Before joining UHSussex, I was a Library Assistant with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, so this is my first professional library role and I am excited to be joining such a dynamic team and such a major project as KnowledgeShare, with which I am very familiar from my previous role.
Outside work, I am studying part time for an MA in Library and Information Management at Aberystwyth University. That, along with wedding planning, takes up a lot of my time, but my hobbies include singing, reading, exercise, cooking, and language learning: currently German, as my fiancée is German.
