Heart Month 2024 is all about seeing red.
The campaign this year encourages everyone to wear red, participate in various activies such as organising healthy bake sales, taking on sponsored challenges and promoting the learning of CPR. The overall goal is to raise funds for lifesaving research while promoting heart health and encouraging people to be good to their hearts!
Heart month started out as a global awareness initiative and in its early stages the campaign was centred around Valentine’s Day in February. Over the years this has evolved into an annual four week campaign celebrated by many heart-based charities.
This is organised by the British Heart Foundation, who are dedicated to funding research to prevent, diagnose and treat heart and circulatory diseases.
Check out the British Heart Foundation website for ideas on how you can take part.
