Thank you to everyone who took part in our Library Environment survey. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re pleased to share the changes we’ve made across our library sites in response to your suggestions.
More Study Spaces
You asked for more places to study, and we listened:
- Worthing Library now features a brand-new work pod.
- Princess Royal Hospital Library has a new dedicated study room.
- Further developments are in the pipeline at all sites to expand study and work areas.
Cleaner Spaces
Cleanliness matters. We’ve worked closely with housekeeping teams, and will continue to do so, to improve the regularity and thoroughness of cleaning across our libraries.
Temperature & Lighting
We’ve heard your concerns about temperature and lighting. We’re actively working with site teams to find solutions that make our spaces more comfortable and welcoming.
Collections and student-focused materials
Your feedback is shaping our current developments in both areas.
Environmental Impact
We’re committed to sustainability. In line with the Green Plan, we’re taking steps to reduce, reuse, and recycle wherever possible.
Further to this we have also made further improvements at St Richard’s Hospital Library:
- More study/work spaces and IT access: PCs have been installed in the Chatterbox area, with more exciting upgrades on the way.
- WiFi improvements: We’re collaborating with IT to enhance connectivity.
and at Worthing Hospital Library: We’re in discussions to enable access to WHEC toilets outside of library hours.
We’re always looking to improve, and your voice helps shape our services. If you have more ideas or feedback, please email us with any further suggestions for improvements to the library environments.
