Tired of hitting paywalls and navigating the web to find published articles? A new browser extension has been launched at UHSussex, giving you streamlined access to full-text articles from journals purchased by the Knowledge and Library Service.
Access research with a single click
A new button will appear automatically when you browse the web, including on Google Scholar, Wikipedia, PubMed, Covidence and publisher websites, providing immediate access to content crucial for informed decision-making.
You may be prompted to enter your OpenAthens password. If you haven’t got one, it’s easy to register:

Say goodbye to the research maze and stop paying for research
Accessing full-text articles can feel like navigating a labyrinth, but the new buttons take you to full-text, if it’s purchased by Knowledge and Libraries, or to a request form if we don’t have immediate access. Our Enquiry Desk Team usually supplies requested articles in less than two working days.
This extension allows you to bypass paywalls and gives instant access to millions of articles. No more paying out of pocket for essential research!
Add the extension to your personal device
Want this convenient access on your personal device? Search for “LibKey Nomad” in your browser’s extension store.
We will be working with colleagues at Sussex Partnership, Sussex Community and other local partners with the aim of rolling out this service across Sussex.
