Health Information: A Practical Skills Session
The aim of this new practical skills session is to equip you with the most basic practical, transferable health information skills that will serve you now and in the future.
This is available as flexible, tailored 1:1 support and sessions are bookable online via LibCal (UHSussex) and can be arranged at a time that suits you.
Book your sessionBookings can be made a maximum of three months in advance and a minimum of two days in advance.
We have designed this training to be flexible to your unique learning objectives. This means you can combine the basics of the individual information skills listed below to suit your needs. You can choose to focus on as many as you like.
In this session you can learn how to:
- Formulate a research question and identify keywords
- Find and select the resources available to you
- Apply search skills in a variety of scenarios
- Evaluate the relevant literature
- Write and present your information in an academic style
