Maggie joined the Trust as Deputy Director of Nursing in 2014 from Brighton & Hove Clinical Commissioning Group, where she was Head of Primary Care Strategic Development.
She has extensive nursing experience, including as a district nurse and an oncology nurse for Macmillan Cancer Support. Maggie completed a doctorate in Clinical Practice. She is also the Visiting Professor for University of Surrey and University of Chichester.
In her time at University Sussex Hospitals, Maggie championed patient safety and nurse recruitment.
