Gordon represents the Trust’s University partners from his position as Associate Dean of Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) where he has worked since 2012. Gordon is also the Academic Training Director with Health Education England South East. Gordon qualified in medicine from St Bartholomew’s Medical College, University of London after training in Chemical Pathology, later spending time at the University of Washington as a British Heart Foundation-American Heart Association reciprocal Fellow. Prior to becoming Associate Dean in BSMS, Gordon has also been the Dean of Medicine at the University of Surrey.
Gordon has published more than 500 papers in journals and books and has been Chief, or Principal Investigator on several clinical trials. Gordon teaches on lipid metabolism and cardiovascular risk at BSMS, and on Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey.
Gordon lives in Guildford and works as a Consultant in Clinical Biochemistry at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
