I am passionate about patient care. Personally I have been working in the care sector for the past 16 years and have always focused on putting patients first.
As I continue my career I have recently registered for a level 4 NVQ in health and social care (leadership role). I have also been involved in a local community responder scheme with my partner for many years and, a little over 2 years ago, I took the plunge and became a community responder. I love this role and being able to give back to my local community.
I also attend various events and social groups giving demonstrations on CPR and how to use a defib.
Being a hospital governor increases my ability to help, and allows focus towards a better future and environment within UHSussex. It also gives me the opportunity to be involved with the public which is something I love.
