What is glaucoma?
Glaucoma is an eye disease. It is mostly without symptoms, but it could lead to blindness. If you have it, you will need lifelong monitoring and treatment.
How can I reduce my risk of sight loss from glaucoma?
Take your eye drops regularly and make sure you attend your follow-up appointments at the eye clinic.
What should I bring with me to my eye clinic appointments?
Please bring all your eye medication (eye drops, any tablets given for eyes, and any cream or ointment). This will help to make sure that there is no confusion with your current eye medication.
What should I do if I am worried about my sight?
If you are worried about a change in your eye condition or notice a reduction in your vision, please contact: 0300 131 6770.
What should I do if my follow up appointment is delayed?
Please get in touch to chase this up. Do not assume it will eventually arrive. You will find the contact details below.
Can I still drive if I have glaucoma?
Glaucoma may affect your ability to drive. If you are diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes you need to inform the DVLA.
