About us
Bariatric surgery is the name given to a number of surgical procedures that help people who are very overweight. Alongside healthy eating and lifestyle changes, the surgery can improve your health and quality of life.
Bariatric surgery is a major operation and is only considered if you’re unable to lose weight through a healthy diet and exercise.
How we help
Research from thousands of patients has shown that on average patients undergoing a gastric bypass will lose 65-70% of their excess weight.
To have weight loss surgery, patients must have tried to lose weight in other ways and must have weight problems that affect their health or quality of life.
These are all done using key hole techniques to reduce your recovery time.
You can be referred for bariatric surgery by your GP or from weight loss programmes, but please note you’ll need to meet strict criteria.
