Dr Chris Pavitt is a Consultant Cardiologist who works in hospitals across UHSussex appointed in 2025. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training in London and the South East with rotations through the Hammersmith Hospital, Royal Brompton and Sussex Cardiac Centre. He completed his higher research degree (MD) and maintains a strong interest in academia and teaching.
He has a specialist interest in treating patients with heart failure and implanting complex pacemakers, with a particular focus on newer technologies such as leadless pacemakers, pacing the conduction system and subcutaneous defibrillators. He contributes to the regional pacemaker extraction and maternal cardiology services based at the Sussex Cardiac Centre, Brighton.
