Biography
Dr Santhosh Narat graduated from India and came to the UK in 1996. After taking MRCP, he completed haematology specialist training in London, attending prestigious institutions such as the Royal Free Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and UCLH.
Dr Narat started as a Consultant in Hammersmith in 2005 and joined Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust the following year.
He is currently clinical lead for chemotherapy at Worthing Hospital and lead clinician for blood transfusion across all Western Hospitals sites. He is also the principal investigator for a number of clinical trials in haematology.
Dr Narat’s specialist interests within haematology include treatment of lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, disorders of red cells and thrombosis and haemostasis.
Thrombophilia screening and peri-operative optimisation of anaemia and thrombosis reduction are his other areas of interest.
