Accessing Brighton General Hospital during Elm Grove road works: 19-20 August
Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) will be carrying out resurfacing works on Elm Grove on Wednesday 19 August and Thursday 20 August.
Brighton General Hospital will remain open as normal.
The Brighton General Hospital (BGH) site will remain fully operational and patients should continue to attend appointments as planned.
Access arrangements
The site will remain accessible throughout the works however temporary traffic management will be in place.
Entry to BGH will continue via the main entrance on Elm Grove.
Exiting BGH will be via Pankhurst Avenue, located at the top of the BGH site.
One carriageway on Elm Grove will always remain open, but the route of entry may change as works progress. Where a direction of travel is temporarily closed, signed diversion routes will be in place to guide vehicles to the BGH entrance from the opposite direction.
Traffic marshals and signage will be in place at the site entrance and exit to support the safe movement of vehicles.
Please allow extra travel time
Staff, patients and visitors may experience some delays due to the temporary traffic management arrangements. Please allow additional time for journeys to and from the site on both days.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these essential road resurfacing works are completed.
