Supporting involvement with multi-centre research
We have a dedicated team of research support staff to help you with your study set up, recruitment and ongoing management. We also provide support to local research investigators.
UHSussex has a reputation for innovation and continuous improvement. This ethos extends to our clinical research teams who have extensive experience in managing clinical research studies across a wide range of speciality areas.
We currently host both commercial and non-commercially funded research and studies ranging from Phase 2 clinical trials to large scale observational studies.
Help with developing your own research study
We have many clinicians doing their own research who have successfully secured external funding for projects in order to directly answer questions to improve care for local patients. Our researchers are making a significant contribution to advancing care through NHS research.
Our local research teams are here to help you. If you would like more information on how to develop your research ideas, get support with a research study already in development or receive some advice about potential funding opportunities please contact us: [email protected] and read about how to arrange study sponsorship.
You may also be able to get advice and support from the local National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research Design Service (RDS). The NIHR funds the RDS to provide research design and methodological support to health and social care researchers across England to develop grant applications to the NIHR and other national peer reviewed funding programmes. Advice is confidential and free of charge.
Other useful information about developing research studies and applying for ethical and governance approvals is also available at the Health Research Authority (HRA) website.
